Jim Whitman

Jim Whitman has been enjoying great popularity in the United Kingdom for many years. He has an impressive list of albums to his credit and is a Prolific songwriter.

Jim has grew up listening to the sounds of the 50's and 60's and was inspired to take up the guitar when he heard the great songs of Elton Britt, Kenny Roberts, and of course of Slim Whitman.

Jim's voice has a wide range and an expressiveness which many singers find it hard to achieve.He also discovered early on,to his delight, that he too could yodel.You don't learn to yodel, it just comes naturally. It then has to be groomed,practiced and tailored to perfection.

Jim certainly has nurtured that sweet, smooth yodel over the years and it is a high spot on his live performances.

Many artists through the years have modeled themselves on famous Stars of Country Music but Jim is his own man and a big talent on his own right. He has established himself as a singer, performer and songwriter with an abundance of self determination.

With a string of successful albums behind him, scores of full houses wherever he appears, Jim Whitman has certainly earned his place in Country Music history.

An ever expanding repertoire ranging from traditional to modern country and a wide range of his own very successful Irish ballads are always in demand.

I find that nothing connects people more than music.  I am a Presenter on Venture Radio.  I find that music is a language all of it's own.  Can not say I have a particular favorite kind of music.  I love most all of it.   And I am a big fan of Bob Birch Radio.

BIOGRAPHY

Italian blues virtuoso Marco Maenza from Italy started playing guitar at the age of 14, From the very beginning of his playing days Marco gravitated towards the blues rock style of guitar. To this day Marco continues to play in the style of blues rock that is now etched in his soul. Marco can also be found as a side man with other acts at various venues from local pub’s all the way up to rock festivals. Marco also keeps busy in his home studio composing and arranging music and making recordings. On these home recordings Marco sings and plays all of the instruments while also sequencing the drum parts.

In January 2009 Marco released his first solo album "A Whisper of Joy". Since the release of A Whisper of Joy Marco continues to record a constant flow of new music enabling him to Climb the ReverbNation Blues Charts and finding himself at the number 1 spot in Italy and as high as 4th on the global charts. On December 12 2007 Marco was featured artist of the day for Myspace. A blog was created to support Marco's music that at the time was only instrumental. On October the 15th 2008 Marco was one again a featured artist of the day once again posting Marco's music and a support blog. On April 29th 2009 Marco was the featured artist on Smokin Tunz Radio. Smokin Tunz Radio played a few of Marco's songs and then reviewed them.

On September 20,2009 Marco appeared on the Musicians Social Club's Blog Talk Radio program. He was interviewed and they also played some of his music.

On October 25, 2009 Marco was again interviewed on radio by Jan Carroll at The Jan Carroll Show "The Lady Plays The Blues" on krushradio.com 

In May 2010 Marco released his second solo album "Stone House of Blues", it's a blues/rock album with original songs, melodic and powerful guitar, bluesy italian vocals.

In August 2010 Marco was Featured Artist on the IMRadio Home Page.

In October 2010 Marco released the third solo album "Midnite Train", a great pleasure for Marco has been the collaboration with Jan Carroll (she has written almost all the lyrics), an album with ten good blues and rock original songs.

Monica Chapman was born in Romania and came to Canada with her family at the age of nine at which time she began to study piano. She attained her degree in piano performance(A.R.C.T.) and voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University.

Her early interest in musical theatre led to a role with the Toronto Operetta Theatre Company in their production of The Widow in 2004. She also appeared in several musical variety productions at The Grand Theatre in Fergus, as well as theatres in Toronto and beyond. In 2004 she recorded a CD titled Sincerely, featuring Broadway show tunes.

                From classical music to musical theatre...

Monica has evolved into a jazz performer over the past five years and she appears at jazz venues throughout Toronto and beyond. She has been backed by talented renowned musicians.

Monica is inspired by such jazz legends as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Cleo Laine but makes the music you are about to hear very much her own.

Heart's Desire is her debut jazz recording.
