Here you will find a series of interviews by Tommie Brewster. Each week Tommie will be talking music to a special guest who inspires either with their music or their life. This week Tommie is talking to

Bert Gagnon

Painting with the colors of music - Bert Gagnon

Bert Gagnon  is a gifted  artist with a successful career exhibiting and selling his art and demonstrating this art on series of television shows whereby a painting was created 'On The Spot' in front of live cameras.

This very successful series led Bert to use music as his 'demonstrations' and ultimately to walk further into the radio world hosting a hugely popular terrestrial show before being lured into the world of internet radio several years ago.

He moved from a listener base of 100,000 to only 2 in his first week - that is the history - the numbers are now astronomicl by comparison, due to his entirely pioneering approach to 'freedom' on the airwaves, promoting in particular the singer/songwriter with the Songwriters Network  a home for any independent artist looking to find a receptive host and audience.

Aided in sources and reviewing music submissions by

Ginny Foley  , Bert is totally committed to developing a radio station and a music community that is 'different' as he really does paint outside the lines in so many ways.

A wealth of life experience has contributed to Berts wye sence of humour and understanding of the human condition, but he also admits to having learned a huge amount about really listening to music, although he has been appreciative and curious about all forms of music from a very early age.

Bert runs Neon Productions'under the name of  Musictogousa purely for the love of music and from his desire to help unsigned and maybe unheard musicians and songwriters have a voice; for this all independent musicians owe him a huge debt of gratitude for his dedication and encouragement.

Musictogousa  broadcasts a variety of shows; the songwriters network airs each Saturday from

6 - 11pm EDT

She is also a prolific and accomplished lyric writer and poet, with an early background in theater and in church gospel choirs.  Having spent years touring extensively in Europe in earlier years, Teeny is now firmly back in her home town in Ohio and is recognised as belonging in the top echelon of women Blues singers at the present time.

She was 'born into the blues'.  Her father was the renowned blues singer/pianist/composer Tommy Tucker who wrote and first recorded "High Heel Sneakers," a pop classic that's been performed by Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stone, to name just a few of over 200 plus versions produced.

Teeny has been invited to appear on the same bill with great blues artists such as BB King, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Buddy Guy, The Holmes Bros, Calvin Owens, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Michael Burkes, Kenny Neal, Johnny Mars, Bobby Rush, John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa and many, many more.

Her latest CD titled Keep The Blues Alive has received outstanding reviews for each of the tracks on there so much so that it is difficult to pick a stand out song.  She is currently working on songs for her next album release and also just recorded a Studio Session at Sun Records for broadcast in January 2011.

Teeny Tucker - keeping the blues alive.........

Teeny may have been born into Blues 'royalty' but she has her own uniquely distinctive sound with a huge voice capable of power but also huge sensitivity.
